Last stop in Peru before heading for Colombia!
Paracas is a lovely fishermen's village 4 hours south from Lima. Yet today it's more touristic than a traditional fishermen's village. I stayed there a couple of days in order to enjoy some relaxing time by the coast and to visit the national reserve of Paracas. Two main activities exist:

During my stay I also enjoyed paragliding, despite its expensive cost... the view up there was beautiful however being unlucky with the wind the flight only lasted a few minutes...
(Transport: an hour bus ride from Ica, 12 soles with Perubus (3,40€)
Accommodation: backpacker hostel house on the main plaza. A clean and spacious hostel with great service (despite the lady who sells your who sometimes can be very pushy so that you buy a tour or come to the hostel) - 20-25 soles (5,6-7€) a night in a dorm (wifi, kitchen, hot shower)
F&B: seafood and ceviche!!! By the beach at the end of the promenade there are lots of cheap restaurants offering an almuerzo (lunch menu) for 15 soles (4,22€) including a starter, main dish and drink.
Activities: 200 soles (60€) for paragliding with Flyperu (ground floor of the Paracas restaurant building); 15-25 soles (4,22-7€) per day for bike renting; 80 soles (22,4€) for 2h30 of quad tour, 20-40 soles (5,6-11,2€) for the national reserve tour by bus with a guide. An additional cost of 10 soles (2,8€) has to be taken into account as the natural reserve entrance fee.
