I stopped at valladolid to spend the night over in between visiting Chichen Itza the same day, and some surrounding cenotes the next day. Valladolid is a smal yet charmful town. I spent sometimes wandering around and enjoying the beauty of the cathedral on Plaza Principal and enjoyed the chill vibe around town.
At night Plaza Principal was animated with street food stands, live bands and inhabitants dancing to their rythm.
It was also an opportunity for me to try the Marquesitas, a mexican sort of crispy crepes. Apperently a dessert tradition here as, despite the many stands in the park, people queue to get a bite of it. The longest queue of my life: 45min for 5 min of pleasure!
